The Chairman guarantees the CAAS\u00b4s professional outputs and is responsible for the activities of the Board and Departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prof. Ing. Vil\u00e9m PODR\u00c1ZSK\u00dd, CSc.&nbsp;<\/strong>has been elected the Chairman of the Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pursuant to the Statutes and Rules of Procedure of the CAAS, the Chairman especially:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>chairs the Board meetings, convenes and chairs the Board meetings and proposes their agenda;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>coordinates the activities of departments and department committees through the department chairmen;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>awards the CAAS\u00b4s prizes, medals and other accolades on the proposal of the Board;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>signs memoranda on the CAAS\u00b4s professional cooperation together with the Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prof. Ing. Radim V\u00c1CHA, Ph.D.<\/strong>&nbsp;is the Deputy Chairman of the Board. He acts as a deputy for the Chairman to the full extent of his powers, namely on the Chairman\u00b4s call, or at the time when the Chairman\u2019s cannot discharge her\/his duties; in this case, his representation must be confirmed by the Board.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Board Members:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>prof.
